Improving English language skills
What is ESOL?
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are designed to help individuals whose first language isn't English develop the skills they need to live, work, and thrive in the UK. Whether you're looking to improve your speaking, listening, reading, or writing, ESOL classes provide tailored support for learners at all levels. These courses are a stepping stone to accessing further education, securing employment, and participating fully in your local community.
ESOL levels explained
ESOL courses are available at different levels to match your current ability and help you progress step by step. From Entry Level 1, where you'll learn basic words and phrases, to Level 2, which prepares you for further education or work, each stage builds your confidence and skills. The levels include Entry Level 1, 2, and 3, followed by Level 1 and Level 2, each focusing on improving your speaking, listening, reading, and writing in practical, everyday contexts. No matter where you start, ESOL helps you move forward at your own pace toward your goals.
