The Salford Employment Hub provides careers, skills and recruitment support to Salford residents and employers, through a range of access points.
Free courses to help you learn new skills or change jobs. Including general skills that apply to all sectors and more specialised skills.
The YEUK Skills and Careers Hub provides 14 to 24 year-olds with free resources, advice and guidance on education, transition into employment and beyond in a process of lifelong learning.

Travel advice
Our Pass cardholders can travel for free on local buses across Greater Manchester. They can also benefit from half-price off peak one-day and weekend Travelcards on Metrolink, and exclusive opportunities, experiences and benefits from a range of partner organisations.
Financial advice
If you are struggling financially and in need of clothing, furniture, household items or white goods - then Mustard Tree may be able to help. If you have an interview coming up and don’t have the appropriate clothing, Mustard Tree often receive donated which are useful for interviews.
Expenses for travel, interview, and work wear, funding towards ID, DBS checks, training and learning programmes.
Turn2Us is a national charity helping people when times get tough, providing financial support to help people get back on track. Turn2Us helps people in financial need gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial help – online, by phone and face to face.
You may be able to borrow money to help pay for university or college tuition fees and to help with living costs. You might get extra money on top of this, for example if you’re on a low income, are disabled or have children.

Better Off Salford provides information on the benefits you are entitled to and support to apply for them online as well as information on how to find and apply for jobs.
Apply for our Boost4Youth fund whether you’re an apprentice who’s after some new tools for the trade or a youth club in desperate need for some new equipment. Applicants don’t have to be a Salix Homes tenant, but the project must benefit young people aged up to 17 living in Salix Homes neighbourhoods.
Irlam and Cadishead young residents can access small value grants to support their skills developement and benefit their future employability. The fund targets people engaged in an apprenticeship, or a similar arrangement, to develop ‘hands on’ practical skills.

- SHOUT - A confidential 24/7 text service offering advice for anyone struggling with a host of issues, including: anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, abuse or assault, self-harm, bullying or relationship issues
- SilverCloud - Offers online programmes to help ease your levels of stress, sleep better or to build resilience
